Barbara Fishleder - Director of Personal & Practice Management Assistance
Barbara Fishleder received her JD from John Marshall Law School and her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. She is the Professional Liability Fund Director of Personal and Practice Management Assistance and the Executive Director of the Oregon Attorney Assistance Program. Her responsibilities include management of the PLF’s confidential programs [the Practice Management Advisor Program and the Oregon Attorney Assistance Program (OAAP)] and educating lawyers on malpractice traps (through seminars, practice aids, handbooks, and newsletters). Ms. Fishleder is a contributing author to A Guide to Setting Up and Running Your Law Office, A Guide to Setting Up and Using Your Lawyer Trust Account, and A Guide to Protecting Your Clients’ Interests in the Event of Your Disability or Death, published by the Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund. Prior to her current work at the PLF, Ms. Fishleder was a PLF Claims Attorney (1986-1989) and was in private practice (1979-1986) where her practice focused on representation of self-insured employers and insurance defense. She is founding member of the Oregon Lawyer Assistance Foundation (OLAF) and continues to serve on its board of directors.
