The PLF Welcomes New Board Members in 2016

The PLF is pleased to announce that Molly Jo Mullen and Tom Newhouse have been appointed as new board members effective January 1, 2016.  Their terms will both expire at the end of 2020.
 
Molly Jo Mullen began her law practice as a criminal defense attorney, working at Multnomah Defenders, Inc. from 1991-1995. After that, she worked for 20 years with Bodyfelt Mount LLP.  She has extensive jury trial experience in employment, medical malpractice and products liability.  While at Bodyfelt, Ms. Mullen was a valued member of the PLF Defense Panel.  In the summer of 2015, Ms. Mullen opened her own arbitration and mediation firm.   Ms. Mullen earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.  She grew up in Africa and southern Oregon.  She has served as an active mentor to newer attorneys with a particular focus on the high standards of professionalism, as well as advocating for girls and women’s athletic programs.
 
Tom Newhouse has over 30 years of accounting, financial and executive management experience.  He retired in October 2015 as the Chief Operating Officer of PayLess Drug, an institutional pharmacy that serves over 10,000 customers with annual sales of approximately $80 million.  Prior to that, he served as the CFO and CEO of PayLess, leading the sale of the company to Moda Health in 2012.  Tom previously worked for Copeland Lumber in senior management positions and began his career in the accounting/auditing division of PriceWaterhouse.  Mr. Newhouse holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College.  Mr. Newhouse joins the board as a public member.

Ms. Mullen and Mr. Newhouse will join current PLF Directors Julia I. Manela (Eugene), Robert D. Newell (Portland), Tim Martinez (Public Member, Salem), Teresa A. Statler (Portland), Dennis H. Black (Medford), Saville W. Easley (Portland), and Robert S. Raschio (Canyon City).
