Isaac Alley - Practice Management Attorney

Isaac Alley is a practice management attorney (PMA) with the Professional Liability Fund. In his role as a PMA, Isaac provides practice management assistance to Oregon attorneys to reduce their risk of malpractice claims and enhance their enjoyment of practicing law. Before joining the PLF in 2022, Isaac served as the managing attorney for the nonprofit law firm Immigration Counseling Service, which works to improve the lives of impoverished immigrants in Oregon and Southwest Washington. He has given frequent “know your rights” presentations to community members on immigration law and constitutional protections afforded to all Oregonians.  All told, he has over eight years of legal management experience.

Isaac enjoys mentoring others and supporting the growth of his community and colleagues. In another life, he spent three years as an assistant English teacher in Osaka, Japan and later worked as a summer associate at the Tokyo-based maritime firm Toda & Co. He has also served as a pro bono educational surrogate for the DART program in Portland, where he represented children without legal guardianship who had special education and mental health needs in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings.

Isaac is a born-and-raised Oregonian, residing in the Portland metro area. He received his BA from Portland State University in 2004, majoring in International Studies, East Asia, and his JD from the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, Washington in 2011.
