Alert from the Oregon Judicial Department - Potential Issue with Emailed Hearing Notices

UPDATE: This issue is now resolved. Attorneys should double-check any emailed hearing notices received between October 18 and October 26, but anything received after the 26th is accurate.

If you have received an emailed hearing notice from an Oregon circuit court or the Oregon Tax Court since Monday, October 18, 2021, please double-check the time of the hearing. You can look up the case in the Oregon Judicial Department’s (OJD) free online records search or in OECI (Oregon eCourt Case Information system) if you have a subscription.

Please note that the hearing date on the emailed notice is correct, but the time listed on the notice may be the time the court session starts rather than the time the hearing begins. This means that the time on the notice could indicate that the hearing is scheduled earlier in the day than it really is.

OJD is working with its vendor, Tyler Technologies, to correct this issue but has not yet been notified when it will be resolved. In the meantime, if you receive an emailed hearing notice, double-check the hearing time to ensure that you do not show up earlier than you need to on the date of your hearing.

Please contact L. Sam Dupree, OJD Assistant General Counsel, if you have any questions: 971.283.1133; L.S.Dupree@ojd.state.or.us.
